GP appointments are suitable for acute illness, contraception issues, aches and pains, medication issues, sexual health problems, unwell children, and general healthcare problems and chronic disease (such as high blood pressure and diabetes). This list is not exhaustive, and if you’re not sure, please call us.

Please note, Essex Private Doctors is not an emergency service. Our Doctors will assess and treat patients but very occasionally may need to refer patients to the emergency department (A&E)  if they need emergency care, in which case the consultation fee will still apply. If you or your family member is seriously injured or seriously ill, e.g. they have severe abdominal pain, signs of a stroke, chest pains, or severe breathing problems, please call 999.
